The inaugural New England Sarcoma Symposium, a joint effort between the Roger Williams
Cancer Center and the Kristen Ann Carr Fund, took place in March, 2011 in Providence,
Rhode Island. The academic program was designed to benefit a broad range of cancer
experts, including surgeons, medical oncologists, gastroenterologists, and the corresponding
trainees, placing special emphasis on the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration
for achieving optimal sarcoma patient outcomes.
The lectures, which can be viewed below, covered extremity and retroperitoneal soft
tissue sarcomas, in addition to gastrointestinal stromal tumors. You can also see photographs from the event
