ROGER WILLIAMS MEDICAL CENTER FIRST IN NEW ENGLAND TO ACQUIRE NANOKNIFE
Roger Williams Medical Center is the first hospital in New England to offer a novel cancer therapy to treat inoperable tumors located in
sensitive organs like the pancreas and liver. The NanoKnife probes are used to rapidly deliver very short electrical pulses that target the tumor.
The normal tissue around the tumor is spared, while the tumor tissue itself is destroyed. The NanoKnife system is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration. It provides an important new minimally invasive treatment option that can be used in a significant number of patients who are not
eligible for more traditional approaches. Call 401-456-2464 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
